I just received my PineTime today, Pine64’s open-source smartwatch.
It’s a fun and cheap little thing. Since it’s all open-source, you can even write you own firmware for it. I’d love to do some osdev on it but right now I’m too busy so I didn’t get the devkit. The pedometer is accurate enough and the battery seems to be reasonable.
I like the kind of devices Pine64 does, I can’t wait for the PinePhone to become my next phone when the hardware and the software will be a bit more mature. The mobile open-source/linux ecosystem is still small, it needs to grow.
